The Role
I work as a Key Account Manager, where my days revolve around customer and supplier dialogue, price negotiations and assortment development in close collaboration with our product team. I spend time preparing for and following up on meetings, identifying new products, and making sure everything comes together across the process.
The role also involves travelling to Canada, Europe and Asia – where I meet customers, attend trade fairs and discuss trends, furniture and design.
Background & Approach
I started at Tradepoint as a sales trainee and gradually moved from a back‑office role into sales, taking on responsibility for my own customers as Key Account Manager. After a year away from the company, I returned to Tradepoint in 2022.
I hold a degree in marketing management and have also worked as a store manager. I’ve always had an interest in sales and numbers, and over time I’ve developed strong skills in maintaining overview and prioritizing when managing multiple customers and product categories.
A Good Workday
A good workday for me is when things fall into place when orders come through, challenges are solved and the balance between customer needs and production possibilities works out.
What I Enjoy Most & The Culture
What I value most is the freedom and responsibility that comes with the role. I’m given clear goals, but also flexibility to decide how to achieve them. No two days are the same, and each new season brings new products and new opportunities.
I enjoy being part of the entire process – from the initial idea to seeing the product in the customer’s store. It’s motivating to work with long development cycles, where months of work come together and create tangible results.
At Tradepoint, the atmosphere is informal and down‑to‑earth. It’s a flat organization with open doors across functions and levels, and a strong sense of trust and ownership. The international setup adds another dimension, giving me the opportunity to experience different cultures and perspectives – not just as a visitor, but as part of the collaboration.
Personal Interests
Outside work, I enjoy being part of social communities and events. I’ve volunteered as a bar manager at a major Danish festival for several years, where I use many of the same skills as in my job – coordination, prioritization and staying calm in busy situations.
And while my colleagues may not always agree, I have a clear preference when it comes to music: the heavier, the better.
