“The best part is creating and developing – both products and the business.”

What tasks do you typically handle on a daily basis?
I work with assortment, product and business development, branding, as well as trends and tendencies. I often find inspiration at trade fairs, on TV, in magazines, on social media, and from many other sources. I translate all of that into a Scandinavian design touch in the products we develop and the way we present them. At the same time, I prepare the sales team to present the products in the best possible way and ensure that, as a team, we reach our goals.

What is your background, and how do you use it in your work?
I hold a degree in marketing management and have nearly 10 years of experience in sales and purchasing within the industry. That background gives me a solid perspective on both product development and furniture. Since 2017, I’ve traveled regularly to China and Vietnam, and since 2024 I’ve been part of Tradepoint.

What is the best thing about your job?
The variety. I keep my finger on the pulse and stay involved where things happen. I get to create and develop – both products and the business – while using my knowledge and experience to find the best solutions and give products new life.

What makes Tradepoint a good place to work?
It’s especially my colleagues and the international environment that make everyday life inspiring. The travelling is both exciting and demanding, but it also delivers great results and strengthens collaboration across borders. There are also good opportunities for personal development – you’re listened to, supported by management, and encouraged to continuously improve, for example through training. Since I started, I’ve taken on a new role, which illustrates the strong opportunities for growth at Tradepoint.

What would you say to others considering applying for a job here?
Go for it! There’s room for everyone – whether you want to be in the spotlight or work more behind the scenes. There are great opportunities to travel, try different things, and develop both professionally and personally.

Do you have a hobby that might surprise your colleagues?
I also love creating and experimenting at home – it could be paintings, a flower cloud, or an old TV transformed with artificial flowers and string lights. Interior design probably plays a bigger role for me than for the average man.

What is the most unforgettable dish you’ve tried while traveling?
I’ve tasted century eggs, a Chinese delicacy – but also one of the few dishes I had to spit out. I’ve also tried fugu fish, which can be deadly if not prepared correctly.

Can you share a fun or memorable experience from a business trip?
On a trip to China, I fell ill, lost my luggage, and ended up in complete chaos. Luckily, with the help of great colleagues in both China and Vietnam, we managed to solve everything along the way – with good humor and team spirit.
